This week the Competition Band will perform at the away game against Florence High School. This fall break performance is required by all Competition Band members but optional for Marching Band only students. Last week we asked all Marching Band students to signup if they wanted to attend this event. All of the buses are currently full and only the Marching Band Students that signed up to attend will be allowed to go. An email will be sent to all those that reserved a seat on the bus.
Schedule
- Friday
- 11:00am – Prop Preparation Crew
- 12:30pm – 2:00pm – Competition Band Rehearsal (Practice Field)
- 2:00pm – 2:30pm: Load equipment truck (Practice Field)
- 4:00pm: Call Time for everyone going to the game. (In uniform)
- 4:30pm: Travel to Florence HS
- 6:00pm: Arrive at Florence
- 7:00pm: Game Time
- 10:15pm: Depart Florence and travel to SHS
- 11:45pm: Estimated arrival at SHS
Student Instructions
- Marching Band students should arrive at call time. (4:00pm)
- All Marching Band ONLY students will ride on Bus 5
- All students traveling to the game will wear their uniform upon getting on the bus. (Shakos in boxes)
- Competition Band students will wear the Gray Inserts and Shako Wraps along with Gray Plumes.
- Marching Band students will wear standard uniform.
- All students should eat before they arrive for call time. We will not stop and eat.
- Half-time performance will be the full Competition Band Show. This will be a trial run for transporting and using props.
- Marching Band students will sit in the stands during the half-time performance.
- All students will perform in the stands for the game.
