This week we will travel to Decatur, Alabama to perform for the Sparkman vs. Austin football game. Last week we were informed that we have secured the seven buses needed to take the band to the game so we are looking forward to our second away game of the year.
We will have a quick call time after school and students should be sure to make arrangements to eat before they arrive. Students will also wear their uniforms to the game.

5:45pm: Stage Percussion & Equipment Truck

- 4:45pm: Call Time (Dressed in uniform, eat before you arrive)
- 5:00pm: TRAVEL TO AUSTIN HIGH SCHOOL (we will NOT stop and eat on the way)
- 5:45pm: Arrive at Austin HS.
- 7:00pm: Gametime
- 9:45pm: Estimated end of game
- 10:15pm: Departe for SHS
- 11:00pm: ETA SHS (Updates on arrival times will be sent to students throughout the travel home through remind)
Uniforms
Students will get dressed into their uniform at call time and wear their uniforms when they get on the bus.
Away Game Procedures
We will follow our standard travel procedures this week. Thanks to everyone for following proper procedures on our first away game as it really helps facilitate smooth operations of the band.

This week we will be on school buses. School buses will provide less capacity seating; however, we should be able to use the same bus assignments.

Equipment
We will load and travel with our equipment in the same manner as our first game with exception to the wind instruments. All wind instruments will be stored on the equipment truck this week.

Austin Specific Guidelines
- All football teams and personnel will enter the stadium on the east side towards the north end zone.
- Buses will park on the east side of the stadium.
- The Band will sit in the stands closest to the north end zone on the visitor side.
- Austin High School has moved to GoFan this season for online purchase of football tickets.
- No parking fee will be collected on game night
- $9 ticket – Available until game time through GoFan
- Have a ticket available on your mobile device upon walking to the entrance gate.
- The pass gate is under the home stadium side closest to the south end zone.
