Another busy week for the Sparkman Band as we participate in the homecoming activities. Our game will be against Russellville on Friday night and the band will have three performances before, during and after the game. The band will also perform at the Madison County Night of Bands this Saturday.
Thursday – Bonfire Pep Rally
All students will attend the pep rally/bonfire and everyone is invited to attend. Food trucks will be available and the band will play during the lighting of the fire. Students should wear their band shirt and kaki shorts/pants.
Schedule
- 4-6pm – Competition Band Rehearsal
- 7:15pm – 8:15pm: Pep Rally/Bonfire. (All Band Members)
Friday – Football Game
The band will perform three times during the game. We would like to encourage everyone to come to the game by 6:30pm so you can enjoy the pregame performance by the Sparkman High School Marching Band.
The half time performance will be introducing the homecoming court and crowning the Homecoming King and Queen.
Finally, the Competition Band will premier their complete program (The Journey of Santiago) after the game. We ask that all students stay until the end of the performance.

- 5:45pm – Call time for the game
- 6:40pm – Pregame performance by the Marching Band
- 7:00pm – Game Time
- Post game – Competition Band Premiere
Saturday – Madison County Night of Bands
Details about this event can be found in THIS ARTICLE. Students may check out after their performance as long as a parent or legal guardian is present to sign the release forms. The band will stay at this event until after the last band has performed.
Both Marching Band and Competition Band will be performing at this event!
Tickets for this event are $8 and are on sale now. (See Mr. Raney) All proceeds of the pre-sale tickets will go to the Sparkman Band. Tickets at the door will be $10 and will go to the New Hope High School Band.
