Transportation to this event will be via bus. In the event that the bus cancels last minute, it will parents’ responsibility.
Thursday, March 9th
- FULL Guard Rehearsal (All three groups) 6:30-10:00 pm (we will be moving equipment around 6:00)
Saturday, March 11th
- 8:00a- Call time at SHS
- 8:15a- Load bus
- 11:00a – Call time at HHS to unload truck/check in
- 12:00p – Novice in uniform in designated spot, ready for warm ups, everyone else on deck to assist
- 1:07p – Novice Warm Up- Area B
- 1:21p – Transition
- 1:23p – “On Deck” for performance
- 1:30p – Novice Performance
- 2:45p – JV in uniform in designated spot, ready for warm ups after awards ceremony
- 2:50p – Report to performance area for Awards Ceremony Part 1 (Only Novice captain and selected representative in uniform for retreat, everyone else in gym to support)
- Immediately following retreat, report back to designated spot
- 3:51p – JV Warm Up- Area B
- 4:05p – Transition
- 4:07p – “On Deck” for Performance
- 4:14p – JV Performance
- 5:55p – Report to warm up Area A to assist La Quest
- 6:18p – La Quest Performance
- 6:45p – Varsity in uniform in designated spot, ready for warm ups, everyone else on deck to assist
- 7:31p – Varsity Warm Up- Area A
- 7:47p – Transition
- 7:49p – “On Deck” for performance
- 7:57p – Varsity Performance
- 8:05p – Load Equipment
- 8:20p – Report to gym for final performances/exhibitions
- 9:09p – Awards Ceremony
- 9:45p – Estimated bus loading after retreat and designated spot cleaning
- 12:00a – Estimated arrival back to SHS
- Unload truck, wait for dismissal
In gaps between performances, students are encouraged to eat, go watch other guards, and get into costume/hair/makeup. All students will be required to assist with unloading the truck at SHS and will be dismissed as a group afterwards. Students will not be permitted to leave early unless pre-approved by Ms. Manker and if they have turned in a check out form from the band website by 3:30p on Friday, 3/10.
