General Audition Information
- You must sign-up for auditions (if you have previously signed up, you do not have to sign up again).
- All front ensemble/battery auditions will be performed with a metronome.
- Battery candidates are required to mark time during their audition.
- Battery visual audition will be performed without instruments.
- You will do one (1) audition on your first choice position.
- You are not guaranteed a position in the ensemble, but if you are offered a membership contract, you will be placed where the ensemble needs you the most.

Battery Visual Audition — Left Box 8 Drill at 160 bpm
Snare — Triplet Rolls A,B,C 160 bpm. A, B 3″, C 9″-3″
Glass Phrases snare part (tempo between suggested tempi)
Tenors — Triplet Rolls A,B,C 160 bpm (around drums). A, B 3″, C 9″-3″
Glass Phrases tenor part ms. 9-13 and ms. 29-33 (tempo between suggested tempi).
Bass Drum — Duple and Triplet Timing 120 bpm 12″
Glass Phrases bass drum part top-ms. 21 (tempo between suggested tempi, play the bass drum part of your choice for the splits).
Marching Cymbals — Cymbal Audition 2018 (music reflects ’15 but is indeed the correct file)
Flubz — Triplet Rolls A, B 144 bpm 9″
Duple and Triplet Timing 120 bpm 12″
Vibes — Musical Etude Excerpts (tempo quarter note = 136 bpm, pause between excerpts).
MCM Permutations 100 bpm entire exercise (use permutations: 1-3-2-4 AND 4-2-3-1)
Green Scales C, F, Bb 152 bpm 6″
Marimba — Musical Etude Excerpts (tempo given)
MCM Permutations 100 bpm entire exercise (use permutations: 1-3-2-4 AND 4-2-3-1)

Rack Percussion — Glass Phrases Rack 2 part (tempo between suggested tempi).
