All students will ride the bus to this event and all students need to help unload upon our return.
On Monday, September 8th the percussion section will be traveling to Muscle Shoals HS to attend the annual Parking Lot Preview event. This event showcases several percussion sections from North Alabama and allows each ensemble to perform show music, exercises, cadences, etc. for each other without being adjudicated. The University of North Alabama Percussion Section will also be performing at this event!
Attire: Maroon Band Show Shirt, Black Shorts, and athletic shoes (shirts must be tucked in).
- 1:45 – Percussion students report to S9 Band Room (load remaining equipment immediately)
- 2:30 – Depart for MSHS
- 4:15 – Arrive and immediately unload, snacks to be given out after we unload.
- 5:00-5:20 – Muscle Shoals MS Performance
- 5:22-5:42 – Sheffield Performance
- 5:45-6:05 – Decatur Performance
- 6:08-6:28 – Russellville Performance
- 6:31-6:51 – Cullman Performance
- 6:55-7:15 – Buckhorn Performance
- 7:18-7:38 – Muscle Shoals HS Performance
- 7:41-8:05 – Sparkman Performance
- 8:10-8:35 – Itawamba Community College Performance
- 8:40-9:10 – UNA Performance
- 9:20-9:30 – Mass Drumline Cadence
- 9:30 – Load the truck
- 9:50 – All students on bus to depart, pizza and drinks after we load (please bring $5 to Neda Johns to help cover the cost of the food).
- 11:00 – Arrive at S9 and immediately unload
- All students dismissed once unloading is finished
