Another busy week for the Sparkman Band as we enter into our second week of competitions, a Thursday night game for the Marching Band and a Tuesday night booster meeting.
Tuesday
The Tuesday after school rehearsal will be Competition Band only from 4-6pm followed by a Booster Meeting starting at 6pm.
Thursday
Thursday’s game against Grissom will be a typical away game with a call time at 5pm. The game will be played at Milton Frank Stadium.
Saturday
All marching band students that would like to attend the competition on Saturday must sign up for a seat on Bus 6. CLICK HERE to sign up by Thursday. These students will travel to and from the event on the bus and will not need their uniforms or instruments. Prop Crew students will wear their uniforms as they did last week. Boosters will feed the students as they travel to the event.

The first 40 marching band students to sign up will ride on bus #6.
- Bus 1 – Clarinets, Drum Majors (Competition Band)
- Bus 2 – Saxophones, Trumpets (Competition Band)
- Bus 3 – Mellophones, Trombones, Baritones, Tubas (Competition Band)
- Bus 4 – Percussion
- Bus 5 – Flutes, Color Guard (Competition Band)
- Bus 6 – All marching band students
Schedule
- 1:00pm – 2:30pm Percussion Rehearsal (then load truck)
- 4:30pm – Call Time
- 4:45pm – Travel to Braly Stadium (CLICK HERE FOR DIRECTIONS)
- 7:05pm – Enter Warmups
- 7:50pm – Performance
- 8:15pm – UNA Performance
- 8:40pm – Awards Ceremony
- 9:45pm – Depart Braly Stadium
- 11:15pm – ETA Sparkman HS
Uniform/Equipment
Students will stage their instruments on Friday after their last rehearsal. Students will take their uniform on the school bus and students will dress once they arrive at Braly Stadium. Be prepared to change on the bus as I am not sure at this time if dressing rooms will be available.
Performance/Post Performance
After the Competition Band performs, all students (except front ensemble) will go directly into the designated seating area to watch the UNA band perform.
