The Sparkman Competition Band will compete in the Orlando, Florida Bands of America Regional Competition this Saturday in the Camping World Stadium. The band will not attend the football game vs. Bob Jones this Friday night.
Uniforms and Baggage
Students will take their uniform on the charter bus. Uniform bags will be placed in the overhead compartment, shako boxes will be placed in the back of the cargo bay of the bus the student is assigned.
One suitcase and one carry on bag per student. The suitcase will be stored in the front of the cargo bay of the bus the student is assigned. The carry on bag should be small enough to fit in an overhead compartment.
Equipment
Students are responsible for loading their own equipment to the truck after the Thursday rehearsal. The truck will be staged at the high school band room in preparation for loading at 12pm.
Medication
Students that have turned in a Prescriber and Parent Authorization Form that has permission to carry medication on their persons may do so on this trip. (if you can in school you can on this trip) All controlled substance medications must be given to the medical assistant on Wednesday at 6pm. If you have medication you are taking and you have not provided us with the proper forms please have that available by Wednesday with signature of healthcare provider.

Bus 1 (Long Trip): Directors/Drum Majors/Flutes/Clarinets
Bus 2 (Long Trip): Trumpets/Mellophones
Bus 3(Long Trip): Saxophones/Trombone/Euphoniums/Tubas
Bus 4(Long Trip): Percussion/Guard
Bus 5(Short Trip): All short trip students regardless of instrument
