The three Sparkman bands will perform at a Pre-MPA event at James Clemens High School on February 26, 2018. This event is free and open to the public. Because our MPA times are all scheduled during the school day, we would like to encourage everyone to attend and hear these performances by the Sparkman Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and 9th Grade Band.
Event Location
All Pre-MPA events will take place at James Clemens High School. The band will not take buses to the event so students are responsible for their own travel to James Clemens HS. Once students are finished with their performance time they are free to stay and watch other bands or leave.

Equipment
Students are responsible for transporting their instruments to this event. Directors all drive trucks and may have space to transport larger instruments that students may not be able to transport themselves. Students should contact a director in advance (not on the day) of the event to make plans or find alternate transportation methods.
Instrument cases can be stored in the JCHS Band Room. Only enter this room during our scheduled times and do not disrupt anyone that may be warming up inside the room. An alternate location may be determined upon arrival and will be sent out to students via Remind.
Uniform
All students are expected to be in concert uniform for this event. 9th grade students should be aware the concert uniform for MPA has added a bow tie to the uniform worn at the Winter Concert. A few 9th grade girls are in need to borrow a tux shirt for events this year. If any upperclassmen have an extra shirt they are not using and wouldn’t mind letting someone borrow it please let Mr. Raney know.
