UPDATE!!! The Sparkman Band will perform for the first official game of the season against Athens. This game will be a home game for Sparkman. All students should be familiar with all game procedures and schedules for the week. Students should wear their band shirts on Friday of each game day.
Due to inclement weather, Thursday’s after school band rehearsal has been canceled. This change will effect the schedule for Friday. Please see all schedule changes below signified in red text.
Uniforms
This Friday all band students will wear their band shirt with khaki shorts for the game. We will not wear our uniforms for the game this week.
New uniforms have arrived and we must have everyone fitted this week. We have scheduled a time for each instrument player to try on their assigned uniform. All uniforms must be fitted before Friday.
- Monday = Trumpet/Euphoniums
Marching Band: 3:30pm – 4:30pm
Competition Band: 4:30pm – 5:30pm - Tuesday = Percussion/Flutes

Competitoin Band: 5pm – 6pm - Wednesday = Saxophone/Clarinet

Friday Schedule
- 9:20 a.m. – High School and percussion students released from class for Pep Rally. (9th grade winds/guard do not participate)
- 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. – Marching band rehearsal
- 5:00 p.m. – Concession stand open for all students at discount prices. Students will be allowed to leave campus to eat.
- 6:00 p.m. – Call Time (Students are dressed and in sections by this time)
- 6:30 p.m. – Students march into stadium.
- 7:00 p.m. – Game begins
- 9:45 p.m. – APPROXIMATE time of game ending.
Water
We are asking the students to bring their own water jug to the game much like we do for after school rehearsals. We will allow them to march into the stadium with the water jug.
Stadium Seating
Over the years, stadium seating at home games has been difficult at Sparkman. The reason for the difficulty is based on the lack of space in the stadium for everyone to sit.
The band will sit all the way to the north end of the stadium. Any parents that would like to sit with the band will have an area at the top of the stadium. Please see the graphics below for details.
