We are looking forward to our first home game of the 2016 season vs. Bob Jones. Please read the article below and be familiar with some changes to home game seating arrangements.
Friday Schedule
- 9:25 a.m. – High School and percussion students released from class for Pep Rally (9th grade winds/guard do not participate)
- 4:30 p.m. – Color Guard Report to SN Room to start getting ready.
- 6:00 p.m. – Call Time (Students are dressed and on warmup field)
- 6:30 p.m. – March into the stadium.
- 7:00 p.m. – Game Starts
Concessions
The concession stand will be available for students to buy food before the game.
Equipment Staging
The only equipment that should be staged for home games is percussion and podiums.
Stadium Seating
Over the years, stadium seating at home games has been a point of contention at Sparkman. The reason for the issues is based around the fact there is not enough space in the stadium for everyone to sit. Last year the student section sat to the left of the band and parents sat to the right and the band tried to squeeze in between.
This year the band is larger and in an effort to take better care of our instruments we are trying to give more room to band members in the stands. For these reasons the band will be seated all the way to the north end of the stadium. Any parents that would like to sit with the band will have an area at the top of the stadium.
