This article contains the itinerary and information for the SCGC contest at Siegel High School.

Transportation to this event will be via bus. If for some reason the bus cancels, it is the parent’s responsibility to get their student to the contest.
Week Schedule
Tuesday, March 18
- 6:00p- Varsity Rehearsal, Band Room
Wednesday, March 19
- 6:00p- JV Rehearsal, Band Room
Thursday, March 20
- 3:30p- Begin moving equipment to S9 Gym- both floors, chairs, any flags/weapons you need
- 5:00p- Call time at S9 gym in full uniform and makeup
- 6:00p- First show begins
- 7:30p- Second show begins
- Post Performance- Everyone assists with transporting equipment back to the band room
Uniform-
Varsity- Show Uniform- Dress top, leggings, TALL black socks, black jazz “smooth” dance shoes.
JV- Show Uniform- Colors within the Burgundy palette. Loose fitted long-sleeve button up top- if sheer make sure to wear an undershirt of the same color. Shorts must go at least to your mid-thigh. Skin tone tights. Tan jazz “smooth” dance shoes.
Everyone- Non-Show Uniform- Sparkman Guard or Band t-shirt, black bottoms, shoes that will not fall off when pulling the floor (preferably black).
Saturday, March 22
- 10:00a- Call Time- Last minute trailer load
- 10:15a- Uniform check
- 10:30a- Depart SHS for Siegel High School
- 12:30p- Call time at Unit Check-In
- 1:15p- JV in uniform in hallway ready for warmups
- 2:07p- JV transition to body warmups
- 2:17p- JV body warmups
- 2:24p- JV transition to equipment warmups
- 2:26p- JV equipment warmups- Varsity retrieve floor/props and approach “On Deck” location
- 2:33p- ALL report to “On Deck” location
- 2:40p- JV Performance
- 3:05p- Varsity in uniform in hallway ready for warmups
- 3:19p- Varsity transition to body warmups
- 3:29p- Varsity body warmups
- 3:37p- Varsity transition to equipment warmups
- 3:39p- Varsity equipment warmups-JV retrieve floor and approach “On Deck” location
- 3:47p- ALL report to “On Deck” location
- 3:55p- Varsity Performance
- TBAp- Clean hallway, load equipment onto trailer
- 5:15p- Report to Gym for IA performances
- 5:36p- Awards
- 6:00p- Approximate dismissal from Siegel HS
- 8:00p- Approximate return to SHS- unload trailer
In gaps between performances, students are encouraged to eat, go watch other guards, and get into costume/hair/makeup. Students are encouraged to bring snacks, reusable water bottles, and money for concessions/food trucks. We will not be providing a meal at any point, so students need to use their free time wisely to get themselves fed. Also be sure to bring any portable chargers or other personal effects you may need- make sure that they fit into your duffle/backpack along with your equipment.
