Welcome back to school as we kick off the 2017-18 school year. Students and staff are very excited to get started this year as the band has worked extremely hard to prepare their programs.
Parent Preview
Thanks to all that attended the 2017 Parent Preview. We had an awesome audience that included parents, teachers, community members, and students from the football team and cheerleaders. We even had students from another local band attend, which is a testament to the character of all band students in our area.
The Sparkman Band is excited to support all teams and organizations to make Sparkman High School stronger than ever!
Syllabus
During the first few of days of school each student is given a syllabus. Parents should review this syllabus carefully so everyone understands the requirements and expectations of the class. Each student is asked to have the syllabus signed by the parent or legal guardian and returned within one week. You may find an additional copy of our syllabus in the download section of this website.
Attendance
Attendance is a very important part of the success of our band program and will be a major focus of our school year. Please become very familiar with our attendance policy located in our syllabus on throughout this website. Many informative articles can be found in the FAQ section of this website.
Website Updates
Each week prior to a performance we try and post an article on this website giving details concerning the event. Please check this website for updates regularly and feel free to report any inconsistencies you may find between the official band calendar and information in the articles.
