We have a busy week ahead. The band will honor our seniors at Senior Night during a pre-game ceremony, we will perform both Marching Band and Competition Band programs during half-time and post game and on Saturday the Competition Band will attend their first competition of the season at the BOA Regional Competition in Jacksonville, Alabama. HERE WE GO!!!!

- Post Performance – Load equipment truck.

- 7:30am – Call Time (Park in the S9 Parking lot)
- 7:50am – Depart Sparkman, Travel to JSU
- 10:20am – JSU Arrival
- 11:20am – Warmup
- 12:30pm – Prelim Performance
- 5:00pm – Presentation of Awards (Prelims)
- ** If the band does not make finals we will travel home after the presentation of awards.
- 7:30pm – Finals Competition Begins
- *** If Sparkman is in finals there will be a drawing for the order of performance
- 10:45pm – Finals Presentation of Awards
- 11:30pm – Travel to SHS
- 2:00am – Estimated arrival at SHS.
Senior Night Instructions
Senior students should have received a letter from the Sparkman High School administration that will serve as their ticket into the game. Seniors and their parents will line up for the pre-game ceremony at 6:10pm. Seniors will place their instruments on the track north of the entrance to the stands and as soon as their part of the ceremony is finished they will join the band in the stands for the National Anthem.
BOA Regional Competition
Saturday that Competition Band will travel to Jacksonville, Alabama and participate in their first competition of the season. Unfortunately, we are not able to carry marching band students but they are welcome to attend. Students should bring enough money to eat for two meals. (Stadium food costs)
We should have enough complementary tickets for all chaperones. If you are not chaperoning and would like to purchase a ticket then GO TO THIS PAGE for details.
This competition is a Prelim/Finals, meaning, if the band’s score is in the top 12 they will perform a second time that evening for an overall ranking. If the band does not finish in the top 12 during prelims then the band will travel home after the presentation of awards. (see schedule above)
