Advancement Explanation:

To advance from Prelims to Semi-Finals we must be in the top 5 scores of our round (round 4) OR the next 6 highest scores from round 3 and 4 combined.

To advance from Semi-Finals to Finals we must be in the top 4 scores of our round (round 2) OR one of the next 7 highest scores from both rounds 1 and 2.

Monday, April 8th

  • Indoor Percussion Rehearsal 5:00-8:00 pm
  • Parent Meeting 6:30 pm
  • Logistics Rehearsal 7:30-8:00 pm

Tuesday, April 9th

    • Indoor Percussion Rehearsal 5:00-8:00 pm
    • Logistics 7:00-8:00 pm  (VERTICAL time-line for all venues; ENTER BACK side 2, EXIT BACK side 1)

Wednesday, April 10th (travel day/rehearsal)

    • 6:00 am Call Time at Sparkman 9th Grade Band Room (luggage under bus)
    • 6:30 am Departure
    • (now in EASTERN STANDARD TIME ZONE)
    • 11:00 am EST Lunch en Route (Kentucky, I-65 Exit 94 Burger King, Wendy’s, subject to change)
    • 11:45 pm Load Bus
    • 11:50 pm Depart
    • 2:45 pm Check-In at Hotel/Change Into Practice Clothes
    • 3:15 pm Dinner (mall foodcourt and Chic-Fil-A near hotel)
    • 4:00 pm Depart for Practice Site (Dayton Sports Complex Indoor Soccer Fields A-B)
    • 5:00 pm Practice
    • 8:00 pm Load truck
    • 9:00 pm Hotel/Snack
  • 10:00 pm Students in rooms

Thursday, April 11th (Prelims Day BB&T Arena)

    • Breakfast served (hotel)
    • Albert goes to UD Arena for Check-Ins
    • 8:30 am Rehearsal in Mall Parking Lot near hotel
    • 10:15 am Load Truck
    • 11:00 am Lunch at Mall near Hotel (food court and Chic-Fil-A)
    • 12:00 pm Shower/Uniform/Makeup
    • 3:55 pm Depart for BB&T Arena
    • Dinner en route to BB&T Arena
    • Touch up face paint en route (if needed)
    • 5:07 pm Arrive/Unload at BB&T Arena
    • 5:47 pm Warm-up begins (Lot Zone L)
    • 6:47 pm Transit to loading dock
    • 7:00 pm Ready behind curtain
    • 7:10 pm Perform
    • 7:20 pm Load
    • 8:00 pm Depart for Hotel
    • 9:05 pm ETA Hotel/Snack
    • 10:30 pm Lights Out

Friday, April 12th (Semi-Finals Day)

***All times subject to change due to Semi-Finals Performance Time***

    • Breakfast served (hotel)
    • 7:10 am Depart for Practice Site in uniform
    • 7:30 am Unload
    • 8:00 am Rehearsal Begins
    • End Rehearsal/Load/Makeup Determined by Semi-Finals Time
    • Box lunch on bus en-route to show (dependent on when practice time will be)
  • Rest of Schedule Dependent on Semi-Finals Performance Time (arrive at Nutter Center will be between 10:33 am and 1:13 pm)
  • Back to Hotel to change/shower/get ready for dinner
  • Dinner near hotel (I-75 Exit 41 just south of hotel:  Five Guys, Chipotle, BJ’s Restaurant, Panera Bread, Mike’s Nashville Hot)
  • 10:30 pm Lights Out

Saturday, April 13th Schedule if we MAKE FINALS

    • All times subject to change due to seeding from semi-finals score
    • These times will reflect the EARLIEST possible performance situation
    • 5:00-6:10 am Makeup/breakfast/check out of hotel
    • Put clothes to change into in uniform bag. Uniform bag on truck.
    • 6:15 am Depart for University of Dayton Arena (finals performance venue)
    • 6:30 am Unload in Alpha Lot
    • Remaining times TBD
    • Stay at Arena and watch PSO/PIO groups until awards
    • Lunch at Arena (box lunch)
    • 2:45 pm Open Class Awards Ceremony
    • 5:00 pm World Class Finals Begin
    • Dinner at arena
    • 11:30 pm Load bus/Depart for Harvest, AL
    • 5:00 am CST ETA S9GS
  • Unload trucks and GO HOME!!! 🙂

Saturday, April 13th Schedule if we DO NOT MAKE FINALS

    • 7:00-10:00 am Breakfast served (hotel)
    • Check-out of hotel
  • 11:00 am Depart for The Web Extreme Entertainment

    • 11:30 am Arrive at entertainment center
    • 11:30 am-3:30 pm at entertainment center (eat lunch while there)
    • 3:45 pm Depart for University of Dayton Arena to watch World Class Finals
    • Dinner at Arena
    • 5:00 pm World Class Finals Begin
    • 11:30 pm Depart for S9GS
    • Stop en route for restroom
    • 5:00 am CST ETA S9GS
  • Unload trucks and GO HOME!!! 🙂
