This week, the Sparkman Football team, which may be listed on sites such as link w88 moi nhat, will travel to Hoover HS to participate in the first round of the State Football Playoffs. Despite receiving charter bus funding for this event, all charter bus companies are booked for this Friday night; therefore, the band will not attend the playoff game in Hoover. This marks the official end of the 2021 Marching Season for the band and we now begin looking forward to the upcoming concert season.
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL
We would like to thank everyone involved in this year’s marching season. The band has enjoyed an extremely successful year with a full schedule of competitions and game performances. Our new members have done an incredible job learning how to march and our experienced members worked extremely hard all the way until their last performance.
Competition Band Students
We are so proud of the work ethic and commitment witnessed from the students this year. Their desire to be the very best at what they do motivates the staff to create a challenging program with high expectations. As a result, students finished strong making our last performance our best performance
At the Alabama State Marching Competition the band won 7A best percussion, best Color guard and the band finished runner up. Congratulations for a job well done!
Marching Band Students
Having the largest freshman class in Sparkman history created some unique challenges with show design this year. These new students did an incredible job learning how to march and play. The future is extremely bright with this group and we look forward to seeing them excel in the Sparkman Band program.
Parents
A special ingredient to our success is the help provided by our booster parents. This year the parents really stepped up and provided the band with great help from the building of the props by Mr. Sanders to the decorating and maintaining the props by Mrs. Ashcraft and crew, organizing equipment movement by Mrs. Edwards and crew, organizing countless other events that kept our students fed and hydrated by Mrs. Lankford, running the concession stand by Mrs. Dance and keeping everything together by our president Mrs. Rhodes.
Thanks to everyone that helped chaperone this year and a special thanks to the executive board that works week after week throughout the year. It is impossible to thank everyone that had a part in making this year so great but, for all of you, please understand how much we appreciate what you do for our students.
Chair auditions/Marching Evaluations
This week will concentrate on chair auditions and marching evaluations. Chair auditions will determine chair placement and which Concert Band the student will be assigned in the future.
Marching evaluations are only available twice a year. To learn more about what this is and why we have evaluations CLICK HERE.

Since we are not travel to the playoff game, the band will take composite pictures on Friday. Students should bring their bibbers to school on Friday for the pictures but they will NOT need shoes, gloves, or black socks. Pictures will take place during the class periods and will not require any after school arrangements.
